Macrodactyly is a rare .congenital malformation characterized by an increase in the size of all the elements or structures of digit or digits.
The phalanges, tendons, nerves, vessels, subcutaneous fat, finger nail and skin are all enlarged, but metacarpals are nQt affected.
The condition may occur unilaterally- or bilaterally, symmetrically or asymmetrically.
It is referred to in the literature by different author as local gigantism, megalodactylism, megalodactylia or macrodactylism.
A case of macrodactyly is reported here in twenty three year old male who overgrowth of second and third tce of left foot.
